I had to replace the bearing on the passenger side last year.  At that time I also replaced the transmission oil and repacked the CV joints.  I should have taken advantage of the opportunity to replace the drivers side bearing but decided not to.  Not doing it now is just asking for it to fail right after I get everything back together, so here we go...
